Bananas are dying out.
Unless there's a seismic shift in the industry, in 10 to 30 years, there may be no more bananas at all. The problem is a fungal pathogen that banana plants have no resistance to. Only, the disease itself is just one part of the story...
There's a villain in the tale of bananas, and that's really who we're here to talk about.
Our journey begins 200 years ago, with a hectic cowboy, a cursed railroad, and one fruity idea that would change the course of history.
